I noticed that many of you want to learn the basic codes
in putting effects on your texts.
Let me share to you some of the most used codes.
Speaking of effects, if you want words to be in boldface or in italics, you can enclose them with these tags:
<b>TEXT HERE</b> for boldface and <i>TEXT HERE</i> for italics.
You can also use these tags:
<strong>TEXT HERE</strong> for boldface and <em>TEXT HERE</em> for italics.
You can also nest tags – meaning, in this case, you can make letters appear in both boldface and italics by inserting one pair of tags inside another pair, like:
<strong><em>TEXT HERE</em></strong>
To center the text, use these tags:
<center>TEXT HERE</center>
For scrolling text, you can use these tags:
Right to Left
<marquee>TEXT HERE</marquee>
Left to Right
<marquee direction=”right”>TEXT HERE</marquee>
Alternate
<marquee behavior=”alternate”>TEXT HERE</marquee>
Up
<marquee direction=”up”>TEXT HERE</marquee>
Down
<marquee direction=”down”>TEXT HERE</marquee>
Alternate Up/Down
<marquee direction=”up” behavior=”alternate”>TEXT HERE</marquee>
ZigZag
<marquee behavior=”alternate” direction=”up” width=”80%”><marquee direction=”right”>TEXT HERE</marquee></marquee>
Alternate ZigZag
<marquee behavior=”alternate” direction=”up” width=”80%”><marquee direction=”right” behavior=”alternate”>TEXT HERE</marquee></marquee>
To change the color of the text, use these tags:
<font color=”red“>TEXT HERE</font>
To change the font, use these tags:
<font face=”verdana“>TEXT HERE</font>
To change the color and the font-style:
<span style=”color: green; font-style: italic;”>TEXT HERE</span>
